Occasionally someone desires garments sewn that As Lilies does not carry. Sometimes they have a pattern already chosen that they would like to have used, other times they tell me what they are looking for. Then I find a pattern similar to what they are desiring and make the necessary alterations and changes to suit what they desire their garment to look like. Following are a sample of these types of garments.

Girl's Colonial Ball Gown

This lovely dress consists of two pieces: the bodice and overskirt and then the gathered underskirt. The fully lined bodice has a beautiful stomacher decorated with ribbon and with lace and flower rosettes. The sleeves, also fully lined are fitted and end at the elbow. There they flair out attractively over the lower arm.

Maternity Matron of Honor Dress

An attractive Matron of Honor dress with an empire waist, lined bodice, gently scooped neckline and back zipper. The floor length dress was made with a lovely navy blue satin.

*This dress was made following a very basic pattern and then many alterations were made including those to make it suitable for maternity wear.

Ladies Skirt and Vest

These outfits were sewn for the mother and daughters of a family bluegrass band. They had described what they were looking for and then we found a vest pattern that suited their needs and the skirt was style #L-S4. The vest is lined and has two front and two back darts giving it an attractive fit. The child's jumper is style #G-J1 with a contrasting bodice and skirt.

Girl's Dress

This adorable dress was made from a pattern that a mother brought to me. The dress has a back zipper and a full underskirt. The underskirt also has a lovely eyelet trim around the hem. The puffed sleeves and a scalloped collar complete the dress.
