Thank you for taking the
time to look at the As Lilies Website! The Lord continues to
bless As Lilies and He has guided and directed me through the
growing process. My Dad, (Michael), my Mom, (Nanci), my brother,
Ryan (28) and my sister, Leah (23) have been very supportive and
As Lilies would not be where it is today if it were not for
them.
For those of you who do
not know me, I am 25 years old and was homeschooled beginning in fourth
grade and graduated in the spring of 2004. I greatly enjoy spending
time in God’s creation, whether hiking, bird watching, caring for
animals or simply driving through the countryside. I love to read
and study Scripture and to discuss scriptural issues with others.
And when I have time, I like reading books that encourage my walk
with the Lord and also ones about things such as farming, livestock,
gardening and quilting. Music is something that our family greatly
enjoys and everyone plays at least one instrument; I play the
fiddle, hammered dulcimer and piano. I love to do just about
anything that deals with homemaking such as cooking, baking,
gardening, quilting, and even cleaning!
My heart is drawn to
children, and with this love, the Lord opened the doors for Leah and
I to begin a girls’ group in our home which began in August of 2006.
Once a week, we meet together with the desire being to teach the
girls homemaking skills and the attributes that God desires young
ladies to have in their lives. This ministry thus far has been a
tremendous blessing, and I thank the Lord for this special
opportunity to serve Him.
Our family is very close
and we love to spend time together. Much of that time is spent
outdoors working and going for walks, studying Scripture as a family
or playing our musical instruments together. The Lord led us into a
family ministry several years ago called “What Mean These Stones?”,
and He has greatly blessed and guided this endeavor. You are welcome
to visit the website at
www.WhatMeanTheseStones.com.
And while I have many interests and enjoy being involved with many
things, what is most important to me is my relationship with my Lord
and Savior, Jesus Christ. My heart's desire is to love Him and serve
Him with all of my heart, and to seek to grow in Him and walk in
obedience to His word. All that I am and ever will be is a result of
the wonderful work that He has done and is doing in my life!
